IN PRAISE AND WORSHIP OF YÁOHU UL

How kind YÁOHU UL is to Israel - to those whose hearts are pure.

But as for me, I came so close to the edge of the cliff! My feet were slipping and was almost gone.

For I was envious of the prosperity of the proud and wicked.

Yes, all through life their road is smooth. They grow sleek and fat. They aren't always in trouble and plagued with problems like everyone else, so their pride sparkles like a jeweled necklace, and their clothing is woven of cruelty!

These fat cats have everything their hearts could ever wish for! They scoff at YÁOHU UL and threaten His people. How proudly they speak! They boast against the very heavens, and their words strut through the earth.

And so YÁOHU UL's people are dismayed and confused, and drink it all in.

'Does YÁOHU UL realize what is going on?' they ask. 'Look at these people of arrogance; they never have to lift a finger - theirs is a life of ease; and all the time their riches multiply.

Have I been wasting my time? Why take the trouble to be pure? All I get out of it is trouble and woe - every day and all day long!'

If I had really said that, I would have been a traitor to your people.

Yet it is so hard to explain it - this prosperity of those who hate YÁOHU UL.

Then one day I went into YÁOHU UL's tabernacle to meditate, and thought about the future of these evil persons.

What a slippery path they are on - without warning, YÁOHU UL will send them sliding over the edge of the cliff and down to their destruction: a quick end to all their happiness, an eternity of terror.

Their present life is only a dream! They will awaken from a dream of things that never really were!

When I knew about this, what turmoil filled my heart! I saw myself so stupid and so ignorant; I must have seemed like an animal to you, O YÁOHU UL.

But even so, You love me! You are holding my right hand!

You will keep on guiding me all my life with Your wisdom and counsel; and afterwards receive me into the glories of heaven!

Whom have I in heaven but You?

And I desire no one on earth as much as You!

If my health should fail or my spirit droop, even so, YÁOHU UL still remains!

He is the power in my heart; He is mine forever!

But those refusing to worship YÁOHU UL will perish, for He destroys those serving other false creators.

But as for me, I get as close to Him as I can!

I have chosen Him and I will tell everyone about the wonderful ways He rescues me....

Tehillím (Psalms) 73, Tanakh or Holy Scriptures

He who dwells in the secret place of YÁOHU UL GAVOHA (the Most High), shall abide under the shadow of YÁOHU UL TZAVULYAO (the Almighty).

This I declare: that YÁOHU UL alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my Creator, and in Him do I always rely.

For He rescues you from every trap, and protects you from the fatal epidemic.

He will shield you with His wings! They will shelter you. His faithful promises are your armor.

Now you don't need to be afraid of the dark anymore, nor fear the dangers of the day; nor dread the epidemics of darkness, or disasters in the morning.

Though a thousand fall at my side, though ten thousand are dying around me, the evil one will not touch me.

I will see how the wicked are punished but I will not share it. For YÁOHU UL is my refuge!

I choose YÁOHU UL above all false creators to protect me.

How then can evil overtake me or any epidemic come near?

For He orders His angels to protect you wherever you go.

They will steady you with their hands to keep you from stumbling against the rocks along the way.

You can safely overpower a lion or step on poisonous snakes, yes, even trample them beneath your feet!

For YÁOHU UL says:

'Because he loves Me, I will rescue him; I will make him great because he acknowledges My NAME.

When he calls unto Me, I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble, and rescue him and honor him.

I will satisy him with a full life and give him My salvation!'
